Taruwar, the Kohli who never played for India
While Virat had smashed 235 runs in the 2008 under-19 World Cup, Taruwar -- with 218 runs and three consecutive fifties -- wasn't far behind.But he admits he couldn't grab those opportunities at the right time but is hopeful of making it count as he prepares for Mizoram's penultimate Ranji Trophy league match against Chandigarh from Tuesday.
"I see it as grabbing the opportunities at the right time. It's as simple as that. After the under-19 World Cup, he (Virat) grabbed it with both hands, and I missed it a lot of times. Taruwar Kohli
Indian Domestic cricketer
Taruwar Sushil Kohli (born 17 December 1988) is an Indian former cricketer.[1] He was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm fast bowler. He scored two triple-centuries in first-class cricket.[2][3]
In domestic cricket, he appeared with ONGC.[4]
Early life and education
Kohli was born on 17 December 1988 in Jalandhar, Punjab to Sushil Kohli and Meenu Kohli. His father was an international swimmer and water polo player.[5]
Career
Kohli made his debut for Punjab Under-17s in the Vijay Merchant Trophy competition of 2005/06, making five appearances in the competition, and scoring 85* on his debut in a drawn three-day match. Kohli's good form continued throughout the tournament, as he top-scored with 110 in the penultimate match.
Kohli was a member of the Indian u-19 Team, which became world cup winners in 2008. As he scored 218 runs in 6 matches which included 3 consecutive fifties, he was the third high scorer of the tournament.
