McKendree University Confers Degrees on Class of 2016 Graduates

(LEBANON, Ill., May 14, 2016) — McKendree University Class of 2016 graduates received their diplomas during the 176th commencement exercises May 14 at the Lebanon, Ill., campus. Bachelor’s degrees were awarded in the morning and master’s degrees in the afternoon, on an unseasonably brisk and windy day.

New graduates of the College of Arts and Sciences, and the Schools of Business, Education, Nursing and Health Professions received a congratulatory handshake from Dr. James Dennis, McKendree University president. “You excelled as students, you thrived on change, you performed community service, and you are the most generous class in the history of McKendree,” he told them, citing several examples. “This class has a truly impressive résumé. You have excelled in all facets of collegiate life.”
