Kevin Ross is an American singer-songwriter set on bringing elements of classic soul to contemporary R&B. Born in Washington D.C. in 1987, there was a certain inevitability to Ross's music career from an early age. He was influenced by his father's side of the family, many of whom played instruments and sang. He went to the Duke Ellington School of the Arts then Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he first attracted industry attention. After winning a local talent contest he caught the eye of producer Troy Taylor and began a career in songwriting. Relocating to Atlanta he got his first big break when he landed a placement with Jamie Foxx.
Songwriting led to a record deal at Motown as a solo artist. He made his debut with the 2014 EP 'Dialogue in the Grey', a record that included contributions from T.I
